Web Site Design Assignment
Internet and web-design Due Date_________________________
Task Description
You are to prepare a web-site which acts as an information portal for a topic or subject of your choice. The site will have a home or index page which gives a description of you and why you are interested in your chosen topic, and a short outline of the topic. It will also contain navigation elements to the rest of your site.
There will be one or more further pages with detailed information about your topic. If you have more than one detail page, the pages should share the same layout. These pages should include pictures, and can include other media such as music or video. There will also be a page with external links to other sites of related interest, with a brief description of each link. The home, detail and links pages will have separate and distinct layouts.
This task is to assess your web-designing skills so the focus will be on your ability to design and present an effective and aesthetically pleasing product. However, all your content should be appropriate for school submission and must clearly relate to your chosen topic. You will be assessed on your ability to communicate effectively with your audience.
