Task Description
The aim of this assignment is to create a class newsletter. The assignment is to be done in pairs. Each pair is to complete a four page newsletter using a desktop publishing program. Each page should follow the principles of good design and contain many of the publication components examined in this chapter such as banner headings, column text and graphics.
Write a brief 1 page report using a word processor that outlines the methods used to create the newsletter and some of the features of your publication.
The Newsletter
Examples of issues you can cover in your newsletter include:
- Interviews with ‘personalities’ in your year.
- Interviews with teachers and other staff at the school
- A student’s view of the curriculum
- Up and coming events
- Topics of interest to students
- Games and humour
- Useful web-sites for senior students—a review of these sites
- A “How To…” guide for students
There are lots of other issues of relevance to students in the class
